The National Fire Protection Association releases periodic articles concerning public safety information in regards to home fires. Their articles recently cited 5 important household items that cause fire damage in Atlanta and other cities around the country.

Some of them were more obvious, like candles and stoves, but others were a bit more surprising. Here are the 5 most surprising possessions you have that are actually fire hazards.

The recipe is kept because of the possibility of using it though. Everything a pack rat keeps is a keepsake because they see themselves using it one day. They have no problem throwing away a broken blender, or a ripped sweater, or even a ruined recipe. They are not completely without reason; it can just be hard to let things go.

There are of course experts in water damage restoration that can be called in to help if your house or residence becomes flooded but the first steps towards water damage restoration begins with you the homeowner or property owner.
